Aerospace experience with Certification knowledge required.
Manage projects through the early conceptual design phase, including establishment of project requirements, coordination of technical studies, and management of budget and schedule. Work with product development specialists to successfully transition projects from conceptual design to a development and certification environment.
Responsible for managing engineering resources to provide technical solutions to production changes, fielded aircraft changes, FAA required changes or customer driven product improvements within agreed upon schedule and budgetary limits.
Responsible for coordination with FAA ACO and HBC FAA Liaison Office to provide necessary leadership for accurate and timely completion of certification packages.
Responsible for coordinating with functional managers to define and implement technical solutions for given requirements. Responsible for coordinating and providing to the IPT and Senior Leadership the technical status of the program.
Responsible for budget and schedule performance on all projects. Responsible for establishing work priorities and ensuring company issues are resolved in a timely manner. Responsible for coordinating resources to define supplier requirements and technical interface. Responsible for ensuring requirements are defined, Statements of Work written and pass company review criteria.
Project Engineer or Program Management experience in Aircraft Manufacturing or Aerospace industry. Detailed understanding of FAA certification process for Part 23 and/or Part 25 aircraft. Demonstrated ability to draft and complete a Statement of Work. Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical requirements with customers and suppliers. A minimum of 10 years experience in a position of responsibility at a management or project engineer level in design and development activities. Significant knowledge of one ore more of the following technical disciplines: airframe structures (composites a plus), aerodynamics, mechanical systems and/or propulsion (minimum of 5 years of experience in a discipline or combination of disciplines). Experience in project business case development. Must have participated in a FAA Certification Project. Preferred Skills:
Strong presentation and communication skills that can be adapted for various audiences. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Project FAA Certification for an aircraft or major aircraft upgrade. Earned Value Management experience. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, and to define, track, and explain schedules and budgets. Strong initiative to coordinate with peers to work through technical, cost and schedule issues. Experience in project business case development (cost estimation, return on investment analyses). Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including MS Project FAA Type Certification for an aircraft or major aircraft upgrade.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
